  • 2013년 6월 대형프로젝트 도시재생사업에 대한 비평적 고찰 Over the past 30years, the urban regeneration has become the dominant paradigm for redeveloping inner city and waterfront areas. Large scale urban regeneration Projects have been a favored strategy for economic growth and place-making by civic leaders and investors. The urban regeneration Project are seen by developers, planners and politicians as a panacea for the problems of economic decline and stagnation. However, urban regeneration experiences reveal that rather than contributing to competitiveness and economic growth, large scale regeneration projects diverts scare resources from policies such as welfare, housing and education. In addition, lange scale regeneration projects create a new form of social economic and spatial division. In this regards, this paper tries to make an attempt to analyse the various causes of urban regeneration projects and critically explore the issues surrounding large scale urban regeneration projects. The major criticisms can be made from the perspective of the welfare of urban residents. Thus, this research largely focuses on the various social issues resulting from large scale urban regeneration projects. 원제무 국토계획
